This interpretation of the shoe is the

latest in a long line of basketball shoes appropriated for skate purposes, this one featuring the drop-in Lunarlon sockliner, perforated memory foam, and other bits of tech that help make them more appropriate for that activity. See skater Zered Bassett going to work in them around NYC in the clip below and get yours at Converse now.Today, CONVERSE Inc. announced the launch of the Converse CONS Weapon Skate, the newest interpretation of an iconic silhouette developed to address the needs of the Converse CONS skateboarding team and tailored specifically for skateboarding.
So far what we've seen for the Converse Weapon collection from their CONS wing in 2014 has pulled the silhouette pretty far away from its original build. There have been heathered pairs, short cut skate versions , and more, but don't worry a more traditional run of pairs is also in the mix. Gathered
here are those, which are all leather as far as the uppers are concerned and each come in a pretty bold color mixture. See our photos on the Converse CONS Weapon Summer 2014 collection and watch for them to show up at Converse spots throughout the summer.
The CONS One Star Pro
is constructed of a primarily white upper while the CONS All Star Pro features a primarily black upper a contrast designed to represent the merging of both sides of Berlin. Since the models are designed for skating, they will incorporate Nike Lunarlon for enhanced cushioning and traction rubber outsoles.24-year old pro skater Louie Lopez is known for his heavy video parts he first appeared on skate team tapes at the tender age of 15 and his agressive-yet-technical style that's served him well in world-class contests.
Converse is back with the second part of their new wet
converse star player
weather Counter Climate collection, ensuring everybody can keep their feet dry in a pair of classic sneakers this fall and winter. After introducing the collection earlier this month with a series of Chuck Taylors and One Stars in water-resistant nylon constructions, part two sees the Chuck Taylor and Jack Purcell high in rubberized builds to keep the moisture out. Each Chuck Taylor features a unique knit base with rubber overlays, while the Jack Purcell goes for a fully rubber coated upper. The sneakers will also be accompanied by waterproof jackets, ponchos, backpacks, and duffels. The Counter Climate Rubber collection launches August 25th at select Converse retailers and Converse.
The timeless Converse Chuck Taylor gets zipped-up again for another contemporary iteration, the CT 1970's Suede Zip. As you can probably gather from the shoe's name, the Chuck's get both a suede construction and a unique zippered addition to each lateral side for easier entry. The brushed suede covers the entire upper of each colorway, even the usually rubber toe cap, in your pick of dark grey/black or cream colorways. The zipped-up Chuck Taylor's two spring offerings are arriving now at finer Converse retailers, including Proper.
Converse Skateboarding has been building serious momentum for a couple years now, and in their
latest set of releases, we get the evidence that the success in expanding their footwear lineup has resulted in the ability for new internal organizations. For example, the Form Function' collection brings together stripped down versions of classic styles to meet your skating needs, while the Converse Skate Ambassador' set gives us new colorways from CONS signature riders like Nick Trapasso , Kenny Anderson and Anthony Pappalardo . You'll see the whole lineup profiled individually when you click through, so let us know which pair is the brand's
most exciting and expect these in stores starting February 1st.
